How to Install Your New A2485 / A2527 Battery

Step-by-Step Installation Guide
1. Remove the Back Cover:
Flip your MacBook Pro over. Use a P5 Pentalobe screwdriver to remove the 8 screws securing the bottom case. Gently unclip the case (pulling towards the front) to reveal the internal components.
2. Disconnect the Battery Power (First Priority!):
Before touching anything else, locate the battery data cable (BMU flex connector) on the logic board. Use a T5 Torx driver to remove the cover screw, then gently disconnect the flex cable using a plastic spudger. This isolates the power and protects your logic board.
3. Clear the Path (Trackpad Cable):
The trackpad flex cable often covers the middle battery cells. You must carefully remove the metal cowl (T3 screws) and disconnect the trackpad cable to access the battery pull tabs underneath.

Apple uses stretch-release adhesive strips under the battery cells.
Look for the pull-tabs at the edges of the battery cells.

6. Reassemble and Calibrate:
Reconnect the trackpad and battery cables, then close the case.
